I need to get a basic tune on a lt1 and a dyno tune on an ls1. Where are some places to go around detroit?

they have a mustang dyno and it will be much better (more accurate) to tune on. they have good prices as well.

That makes three of us for Speedworks. Greg and Phil are great guys to deal with. You will have a ball there, and they will do your car right!

If you have LT1edit of your own, just bring it with you on a laptop. Most times Greg will use your software if you wanted him to. Ask him about it, I'm sure you can figure something out that works.

I dont think you understand. You dont have to have LT1edit to do that. Speedworks has software that they use that allows them to tune your car, as well as things like your friend needs. He dosent need to buy a program to have it done. Simply tell Greg what you want done, and your all set. He will do a little interview with you when you go there to find out what he is going to have to do.

No Q, i think its you who doesnt understand(Not trying to be rude). Greg doesnt have lt1 edit and neither do i. he said hed have to put a obd1 chip in it to reprogram. The chip's 150 plus the program. for that i could go out and buy lt1edit, which i dont want to do. ill have to find another place nearby to have the lt1 tune done...

Speedworks can tune OBD1(94-95) PCM LT1 cars with their own software. If it's just a code, he has a Teck II, and should be able to erase any codes on any year PCM.
Call Greg and tell him what you have and what you need done. He'll hook you up.

I know he can tune obd1 cars, but he cant tune lt1 obd2 cars. whats so hard to understand about this. bottom line, detroit speedworks cant do a 97 lt1 car unless he changes it to an obd1 car, which is out of the question...

Here's a question for you guys that have been there. What does it cost for them to tune your car? And what kind of gains can you expect from a stock LS1 having it tuned?
