Whats wrong with me? I MUST be the stupidist MORON drag racer in the World!
CRAP day yesterday. I can't drive or think and car still won't shift under N2O load.
Milan was FULL, got two freakin' time trials and the first I wasted!
This is the freakin' stupid MORON part. I have a chance to go down the track and try to leave off of footbrake and two step. Well my right thumb is Sooo stupid, it cant lift off of the 2 step button until after I release the brakes. The moron part is instead of stopping and trying to make just an all out pass to see if it will shift, I lazily ride down the track. 1 time trial done/wasted!
Second and final time trial (umbeknownst to me at the time),
I try just a regular footbrake leave on a 50 shot coming in at 4500 rpm. DOINK, no shift into second after bouncing off rev limiter3 times and then into third gear. Car left hard to the tune of a 1.51.
For eliminations I have to try something different and have several options. I choose to leave the N2O switch off until 2nd gear. GREAT idea and it worked, car shifted to second. On goes the 50 shot and get a nice pull. All of a sudden hitting rev limiter on 2-3 shift on the juice. Finally look down and must be when I switched on the juice, (switch is in front of ****er), I bumped it back into second gear, via the hard leave.
People in the pits upon my return got to see the ANGRY me for about five minutes. Cursing/Swearing, throwing/kicking things,
etc...! I AM NOT A GOOD LOSER especially when I funk up!
It's one thing to have problems sorting out a new combo but quite another thing when you add in a driver who doesn't have a clue!
Thanks for reading and yes... I'm still HOT!
Some good news... ran car over scales w/ me in..3390#'s.

Kevin, I read the PM's and the post. Our biggest problem is finding a way to get the tranny to shift. The other stuff might be easy to fix, There was some discussion about the two step and wiring it so the two step kicked out when you let off the brake pedal. (so you don't have to hold down on the two step button all the time.) That's easy to fix. Grover had a schematic showing how. I know how you feel. My day at the track stunk real bad too.

You'll progress as you get more runs under yer belt. Wait a minute...
Sorry to hear, bring her on out on a dead night and practice I guess. Maybe a rental night with the Eastern Camaro dudes group. Very cool 60 foot!
Weight looks damn good also. Lots-o-racing time left this year
Hey Kevin,
Load that damn thing up and meet me at Stanton Wed. at 4:30pm. You need to go when you've got time to sort things out and no pressure to win. I was very lazy and goofing around testing the effects of different launch RPMs last Wed. and got in 12 runs leaving at 8:30.
Awesome 60' just some tuning and good weather away form a 1.49.
3390lbs. is that without the cage? You're almost 200lbs lighter than the last time I weighed. But that was with almost 3/4 tank of fuel and regular radials on the front. Now I have the skinnies (skinnies are 25lbs each, stock tires are 42lbs each).
Let me know if you want to go Wed.

Good 60' Hink. You should have showed up at the Royal Pontiac day on Sat at Milan. We had the track from 830-100. Actual track time from 900-noon. I thought I had my chit together come eliminations, but I went out first round to a FWD Grand Prix that ran a 14.156 on a 14.15 dial and the bastage cut a .533 light.
I went home with my tail between my legs.
New toy: Turbo Impala SS in the house.

Hink - From what I hear, Ed Wright has had some success at eliminating the shifting problem. I've heard one or two people mention PCM For Less also. Your only other options are to go OBDII or TH350/400 if you want to keep the high stall.
