I bought some valve springs today for my new cc306 and the guy said id have to mill the head for them to fit. This sucks because I dont want to remove the heads. Ive seen other valve springs that said they fit without machining. True or False. Also has anyone put these springs on Lt1 heads without machining? They dont look any bigger then my Lt4 springs, just beefier.

I installed the crane springs that fit with out machining. I don't remember the number for sure but I think they were 10-308 springs. They are supposed to good for a 600 lift. They have been in the car for over a year now with out any problems. Do search and you will get all the information that you can handle, the good and bad.

The springs Crane makes are called H-11 (don't know the p/n), go on Crane's web site and you'll see them there. Don't forget your installed height of the springs is probably also going to change so get some extra shims to make the height correct....
