Just checking the schedule for Stanton, and low and behold there is a Camaro/Firebird/Corvette class that night for the midnight madness. I'm gonna shoot from Speedworks straight to the track. Anyone care to join me??? Gonna see what all this winter work was worth as soon as I can. Figured what better time then right after getting off the dyno

If I can hitch a ride with you I'm in. I dont want to drive the Cutty over to Detroit, up to Stanton and then back home.

That would be quite a haul. I was gonna go straight to the track, but I can always use a good camera man I will beep ya on my way back and let ya know if it is all a go. If you meet me at my house it should work. Maybe you can get the video of me getting kicked off the track

With the stock rear end I wanna stay on street tires for awhile. Dont want to temp fate...or the wifes temper...if I were to break something. I have a set of slicks, same ones we used at M7...but dont think i am ready to bolt those on just yet. What would you suggest .

Since you have an automatic, you should be okay on the slicks for a while as long as you don't launch off the transbrake.

Only problem is I havent done the wheel studs on this rear end, dont know if I can get away with it or not. As for the transbrake, I didnt go that route like I had planned. Still went reverse manual, just no brake

You should get the ARP wheel studs, they are a cheap insurance against breaking off wheel studs.

What is the legal time allowed for a 'vert without a rollbar?
