True duals? Where did u get em?
Well, the FLP's I put on do NOT like up with the y-pipe at all.
So I was thinking since I am going to have to have it welded anyhow, I could just go x-pipe, bullet's or something similar. Anyone running duals, who did yours? Info please!

I know Mike works for Gary Cook. I have not seen any of there work. The ones I have seen they take centerblocks and put them under the back seat and lower the car. It pushes the hump up for clearance. It looks like $hit. I would cut the humps out and flip them over and weld them back in. That way your rear seat cushions would set flat and not be pushed up on one side. just my .02. I think there # is 586 463/7646. There in Mt Clemens .
I am selling my true duals. They are not full length, but dump right in front of the rear-end.
Anyone who has heard my car, knows they sound bad-***. They have the 3 chamber Flowmster Race Mufflers on them. It was done in Toronto by ARE's exhaust guy.
Drop me an e-mail if you are interested.

Heres the number for Gary Cook... 586-949-3400. Best time to call is between 8-8:30 in the morning or on Saturday.
Your only dilemma is going to be muffler choice. If you don't want the floors modded then you're gonna have to go with a bullet style or a set of Hookers.

Harold has his done up in Owosso. They did a sweet job on his car. They also did some work for me on mine and it turned out sweet. The guys name is Ken I don't have his number but Harold (Black Sunshine) will have it.Owosso would be like a hour and a half drive but in my opinon it would be well worth it.if you are interested get with Harold and he can hook you up.There prices are reasonable too.

well if your looking to hear what dual bullets sound like then give me an email. I live very close to you and still drive my car (for a little while anyways) they are loud and obnoxious just the way I like them. once in a while I'll decide they are just too f'n loud, but then I come to my senses and realize they should be damnit!
the duals I have on my car are like what nick has for sale. the only diff. is exactly where the muff.s hookup. but if you can find someone local that will make them, I'll bring my car by as a reference point for you.

Exhaust
Nick's setup does sound sweet, why he is selling i not know? But his are nice, that or Gary cook does awesome work, he's the only one that ever did exhaust on my former/ and current Camaro, you'll wait awhile to get into the shop, but it's worth the wait, if your in no hurry, he's gonna do AUTORAMA this year, and have a few cars there, mine might be one, if i can get the damn thing ready and cleaned up, Paint on a daily driver would hate those lights in Cobo, all the flaws would jump out.
Nick: right now money is real tight, had some unexpected problems lately, so there is no way I can do anything now. If you are still looking to get rid of your duals in the spring, let me know...
IrocSS85: I will drop you an e-mail. I would like to hear them in person, I've heard some WAV files, but they never do the real thing justice.

I would highly recommend a 3rd gen to anyone. They are so SSSWWWWWEEEEEEETTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!. Especially when they have no top!! If you don't like the verts cause they are heavier I would go with a hard top. I have had at least one hardtop,t-top,and convertible models. I like the verts the best and hard tops are cool too.Me personally I will never own another T-Top car (unless it's a smokin deal) To many headaches. And I just did'nt care for them too much. Definetly reccomend a third gen to ya though.

You really need to hear them on an lt1, as its different sounding on different motors.
I would have mentioned i have duals on my ls1.. but it wouldnt have mattered because it'l sound different than what it would on your car.

well, my car is not really a good car to use as a reference point for 3rd gens. I have completely changed the ride characteristics w/my mods. for instance I have removed the P/S, front sway bar, taken about 150-200 lbs off the front nose w/my delete mods and the use of alum. (heads, starter, w/p, !A/C, and so on. ) I'll be removing the front bumper behind the fascia, moving the batt. to the trunk, and installing my V6 springs and cutting them down a touch to make the front end finally sit down where its supposed to.
next year Im looking for 12 teens NA and getting nitrous
and going for high 10's.
