Sumpin da tank

My stock gas tank is in really good shape so I'd like to reuse it, but I'm using an external fuel pump now and would like to just sump the tank and do everything the easy way. I want to two 1/2" outlets, one for the motor, and one for the spray (eventually).

So, I have the tank, and that's about it. Where can I get this thing sumped?!

Thanks!

Joe

well your in trouble if you plannin on reusing the stock type ypipe. the muffler sits directly under the tank, makin it a hard fit. I drilled a hole in the right rear lower corner of the tank and installed a -8 fuel cell fitting in there. it has plastic washers on the inside and outside to seal it. all you need is someone w/really skinny arms that can fit there elbow into the tank to reach back that far to hold the nut from the inside. violla! instant rear/lower feed and you could use the normal muffler. but I have duals anyways.

back to the question at hand, should you choose to do that, most radiator repair shops will do that sorta thing. you can order the sump from summit for around $50 and then have the radiator shop weld it on. done. all you gotta do is find one of them that will do it. some muffler shops may do this to, but make sure they are an ace welder. obviously you dont want it to leak. I'll be putting my new tank in soon. Im using the stock pump to feed the reg. also when the nitrous is armed. the stock pump and lines are feeding the eng currently so it will be way more then I'll need for the N20. even when I can spray it with 250HP.

I'm working at it Chris, the front suspension is going together pretty good, everything is just falling into place really. BTW, when are we putting your nitrous system together???

I'm going to run duel exhaust dumping right before the rear end, so there's no worry about the muffler being in the way. Thanks for the tip on having a radiator shop do it, I'll check into it.

Thanks!
