My son is looking to sell his '91 Z-28. It's a 305 TPI auto. 170,000 miles. Has had a body restoration that is 3-4 years old now. By that I mean it was taken down to metal, all rust repaired with sheetmetal including floors, and triple stage black paint. Needs some work around the rear wheel well lips again. Interior is in fair condition. Just put exhaust under it. Just put new front calipers, rotors and pads on it. Just put a new starter in it. Stock Z-28
rims with Kelly Charger tires about 8,000 miles ago.
$2500 firm.
Will send extra fenders with it also.
Call Craig @ 248-495-0096.

Steve, if you happen to run by the number i'll check it out.
as for the black one, i believe i went to look at craigs car if it's on craigs list? honestly i wish it was that case as i would have bought it when he was asking more but it needs too much work for me. i tried to input it on kbb but no value would even come up for it. in excellent condition meaning it wouldn't need any work it's a $2,800 car or even more if you find the right buyer obviously.
i'd really like to have the car but it just needs more work then i can put into it right now. if he considers anything a little lower let me know and i'll put the word out to others looking for that style.

only because i can't find any clean thirdgen that isn't over 5k. i have 5 of them right now and 3 of them aren't worth building because the quarters are rusted or the floor boards are shot. never mind the other little problems. people just don't take care of these cars.
i just bought a black one... cheap mind you but both floors you can litterally put both feet through the floor and touch the ground flintstone style. how do you let a car get this way??
so much junk out there that it makes it difficult to build let alone even part them out.

Wow, I never knew. Mine doesn't have any rust except that orangey stuff underneath where the zinc plating has been sandblasted off by road debris.
..Hey though, this isn't like 1980, when every car over five years old had doorpanels that flapped in the wind! They were literally everywhere! Same thing with smokey blue engines. There are a lot less smokers on the road today.

yeah that isn't bad but even then once you strip away at it you'll find much more then you thought. even my original 91 which had very little to none when i had it completely stripped i found alot that was hidden needing repair.
i've looked at maybe 25 thirdgens in the last month and only 6 were even close to being worth building never mind the cost of them. the others that i bought were just because they were so cheap. can't pass up 3-400 dollar cars when there are several pieces worth that alone on them.

Yeah, Sherman is about 8 miles from me and I've had my eye on some other parts from there. But, I don't know anyone who could help me put them in. I probably could cut out the floors, but no means to weld in new ones. So with all that said, It would be easier to find someone to replace them for a price. I've checked out your cardomain and your floors look great after all the work.

I've been welding on my floors for the past six months as I add additional bracing for the prototype decoupled torque arm. Plus I've added a six-point roll bar. There was one rust spot about the size of a quarter that required some sandblasting but it never came close to rusting through. So far so good, no serious rust. However this Michigan car has seen only the winter of 1995 and 1996. The rest of the time it's been stored during the winter.
--oh, I take it back çause I just remembered--- The plastic liners in the front fenders were hiding some rust in the strut towers. I had to pull the liners, sandblast out the rust, then R&R with fiberglass. I did that back in 1996, come to think about it. I forgot about that.
