Alright..ive asked this b4..but i need to get this done..just for my reference anyways.. Took the 2.73's out..put the 3.42's in, with an eaton posi. I want to get the speedo back on target here. Where can i get the part for it, anybody know a webpage? Also where should i take it? Anyone round here maybe do it?

 

I think you just replace the speedo gear in your 700R4.Ask Chris (Iroc85SS) He can get it from work .....he may even have one laying around. Steven

 

hey cory, you need to replace both gears for the speedo in the trans. I can look it up for ya what gears you need. they should be around $20 together. usually you need to replace both gears which means that the tailshaft housing needs to come off to remove the gear and install the new one. thats not a very fun job. it can be done in the car, but its a real hassle. i'll email ya later when I can get a chance to find the corect gears.

I purchased a drive and driven speedo gears from SLP last summer. I don't remeber exact price but they do stock them. Check out their website, if I remember correctly the matched set was under $30 shipped.
