Sooo. Whats your plans for the winter?

Whats everyone doing with their cars for the winter time? Any big overhauls going on? Hopefuly I'll have my a spare motor here soon so I can ship off the heads and intake manifold to get them machined while I rip the rest of it apart!

I was hoping to do an ls1/t56 swap, but I don't think that I'll have the money any time soon

At least I found a good spot for it during the snowy months.

Re: Sooo. Whats your plans for the winter?

i ahvent had a chance to talk to chris yet. about when we are going to get the car started. as soona s i do. ill let you know about the motor. Btw it is urs. as soon as its pulled. u can have the trans too. its got a good shell it hink. its just the gears are fried. plus the heads could use a tear down on the motor. so new valve springs and retainers. would be what it hink it needs, along with lifters. that should be verythign. i dont know i havent taken the valve covers off it. im afraid. lol the sprigns are not broken, but i think a lifter is messed up. on pass side middle cylinder, cant remember which number. but yeah as soon as i talk to IROCSS85 ill let you know. i wanna get it out asap. and get this car movin. everytime i open the garage and see the motor and trans int here, i jsut get a lil Um excitied shall i say, that sounds apropriate. i cant wait to fire it up. but that wont be for utnil prolly jan. but i dunno. ill try to get in touch wiht IROC, unless he reads this. and lets us know whats goin on. neway, bed time for me, i got a final then work, in the morning. ON A SAT> fun fun fun.

Pull the motor. Forged bottom end,.030 over,LE2 H/C,52mm tb,30# injectors, tune, and finally get the LT's on. New shocks & springs,LCA's,Panhard,STB,SFC's. Fix hole in the floor on passenger rear(stupid exhaust). Hopefully new hood(not sure what kind yet) and finally get all the badging back on. Then in early early spring get a set of wheels on her. Been saving for a year and have some of the stuff already or have atleast most of the cash for the rest of it. I've got a lot of work ahead of me I know that. Good thing I'm getting a new compressor and air tools for X-mas. I'm gonna need em. Whew....that list took a lot of breath.

Probably just a simple 1.6 Roller Rocker/springs/pushrod install.

Just picking up used parts off the boards and ebay. And then drop it all off in the spring for an install. Can't wait.

Cam, stall, ls6 intake, smaller blower pulley.

Re: Sooo. Whats your plans for the winter?

I just picked up a set of heads off a board member(thanks Skip) and a PCM off. another.

Ported heads,Intake,Cam,Electric WP,Tuning,3.73 gears for starters, then once the N/A set up is dialed in spray, spray, spray!! I have been sitting on this kit for 2 years because the TA was my only car.

Now that I have the 'chicken, let the fun begin.
