O.k. now. I wonder what kind of software i should get for scanning codes, but also for editing later on if I decide to get a cam and head change. Does Lt1 Edit able to both of these or am i screwed and have to get 2 programs. One to read codes and another one to change stuff for engine mods.

I would suggest Datamaster for logging/monitoring & code clearing and then either LT1 Edit or Tunercat for making changes.

 

Datamaster? never heard of that one. so there is no programs that do both?

 

I think you can get an add on for LT-1 Edit to do monitoring, but for the little bit of extra cost Datamaster is much better.
