I know everyone here is ripping on the person who emailed Sue... that is called for. However, why would Hink's wife not stop and take time to listen. At first I can only imagine what was going through her head. We don't really know how the information was presented to her. After it's all cooled down though, I hope she stops by to see the threads all of this has caused. To see for herself that no harm was intened by any of Hink's joking around. That nothing physical ever occured and it was all just talk. In no way is what was done appropriate, but there there should be some trust in that relationship that will allow (in time) for the explaining. Perhaps then the truth will come out and we will all know who and why this all happened.

Maybe it's a chick that really wants you HINK! This was the only way to get you away from your marriage.

I only slightly apologize for the above statement, as I think joking is a good way to alleviate the pressure.

Seriously though, I think time is the only thing that is going to help right now. None of us talking with her will help (unless we knew her ahead of time). Time and perhaps an explanation from the person that set it in motion. My curious mind wants to know who the culprit is, but if they would just let the two of you know why, it could help a lot.

 

Perhaps Sue has her own reasons for leaving and this whole event just presented a convenient excuse. When someone is resolved to a solution to a situation and won't listen to reasonable explanation, there is often other motives for their actions.

 

I know what you meant and her mother did just die a little over a year ago. Maybe reality is setting in even though they were not close. But... Losing a husband does not bring momma back!
Maybe it's just a 'fresh start' thing.

i'm not an internet bad ***, didn't key chris's car, and have had no contact in any way of his wife. i don't really see much here helpng the situation. if it were something anyone on here could do to bring her back to him, i'd say they'd do it including me since i'd hate to see a marrige of that long have an issue like this. nothing i've said so far i wouldn't have said to a friend in the same situation. on the other hand where i post isn't the only forum i read. i've made no attempt at offending him, only stating the obvious which an open forum allows me to do.

 

There is no such thing as an open forum on a privately owned message board.

 

Other than his somewhat lack of coherency, I don't see how chevy qc said anything out of line. Last time I checked, this forum was titled "Michigan/Great Lakes", not "Friends of Hink". I don't know Hink and I certainly know how women can be such bitches at times.

But when a marriage of so many years ends because of some internet posts, I find it somewhat hard to believe that the internet posts were the sole reason for Hink's wife leaving. Did his wife not have enough trust in him that she could see he was only joking? I don't know the situation at all, so I'm not going to make any judgements, but the question seems logical and reasonable.

You hit it right on the head dude, you don't know me, my ex-wife or the situation. In fact I cannot even understand the whole situation as she seen it!

I helped an internet friend out whom no one else would and drove 95+ miles to do it. I neglected to tell my wife that the 'friend' was female. Did I have sex wityh her or recieve any type of payment, NO! I just did what I would have liked one of my friends do if Sue or one of my two daughters were in trouble.

Now... I pay the ultimate price... SO BE IT! It wasn't my decision to leave, just as it isn't my decision for negative feedback from people that don't even know me. I would guess that 80%+ of the people on this forum have interacted with me on a personnal basis. If you could find 1 or 2 that didn't like me after meeting me, I WOULD BE MOST SUPRISED!

Calm down man. I never made any conclusions on the situation, which is why I said in my original post that I'm not going to make judgements and I know how women can be sometimes. When chevy qc said those comments, and your friends stuck up for you, that's to be expected, but when PhantomTA started implying that this wasn't an open forum, I thought I'd say something.

Also, I usually make it a point not to say anything online that I wouldn't say in real life. And yes, I have been assaulted/jumped before for things I've said.

If anyone has some sort of problem with me or anything they'd like to say to me, my name is Dennis. You can usually find me on weekend nights on Telegraph and Joy road at the Donut shop or Randazzo's parking lot. i've met hink twice so far and both times he was in good spirits. i'm certainly not taking any shots at him and i'm sure next time i'm somewhere he is i'll walk over and say hello again. . as to phantom, unfortuantly there are too many i.p. address's and e-mail adress's out there to keep someone out such as the person responsible for the at hand condition if he were banned. it's kind of a known internet problem, but really unless this site never accepted any more new members it's damn difficult to keep out specific people hence the idea of calling it an "open forum". no offence directed at phantom, but as any computer hobbiest know's, on the internet, there is always a way. :
