i think allowing her a chance to think about everything, and come back down from i am sure quite a rise, will give the both of you an opportunity and chance to figure things out. i to, am shocked out of my skull to read something like this. screw what has happened and focus on what you know is important..... her!

HInk,
You've met my father and I at both Stanton trips this year, as well as at the DSI dyno day. I've read many of your posts online, both here and at MM. While you are a little risky, I always had the assumption that it was all in fun and games. Meeting you this year and seeing you in person completely confirmed this. You're a genuinely nice guy who puts himself on the spot purely for the amusement of others (and it's always funny). Even from the limited amount I know you, I could tell that you were just in it for fun and realized that your crudeness was completely harmless. It's a shame that your most defining characteristic has caused such a terrible thing. I wish you the best of luck and hope everything works out.

My father also wanted to pass along a message to you:

Hink, I have only met you twice and it is easy to read you as a "**** Kickin Jokester who is otherwise as harmless as a Ford Owner" If after 30 years your wife doesn't know this you must not go home very often. Does your wife know you Red Lighted twice Saturday only because you were thinking about how much you were missing her and not that 10 second run you wanted so badly? Are you sure she's pissed about something you said or is it knowing your goal is to accomplish doing it(?) in 10 seconds.

Remember, No Purple Stripes.

Hink, your a great guy, if she leaves it will be her loss.

Hink,

I'm sorry to hear the that someone could be so confussed as to take posting on the net so seriously that they felt they had to go behind your back like this.

I've only had the pleasure of meeting your wife at the Z28 Nats and she seemed very cool and relaxed about all of us messing around and letting the one liners fly. There is certainly nothing getting posted out here on the sites that is any more than the same school kid goofing around that we did while talking at the track or waiting the weather out at the hotel.

I don't know if this would be any help but I'd be happy to talk to her if she would like an honest outside opinion about all the screwing around posting that we do on these boards because there really isn't anything that's been posted here or on MM that she needs to be concered about. It's all in fun and jabbing.

Rick

That sucks Hink. I hope it all works out for the best in the end. If you need it, i have a laptop you can borrow to get online. I won't be back from Pittsburgh til Friday, but if you come to the bonfire saturday I'll buy you a barley pop and you can borrow the laptop. It ain't much, but it will get you online.

And take this as serious as it is... if and when you find out who did this, know that I have your back on this one... anytime, anywhere. Just call me. It's late now or I would give you call. Tomorrow I will throw a buzz your direction man. Talk to you then.

Hink - this was incredibly shocking to read. I've known you for approx 7 years now and you have ALWAYS been the jokester - whether it be on the Mailing lists (where I met you), or on the boards. Hopefully your wife will also read these threads and understand.

I hate snakes.............this one is even worse than the cobra type! If you need me to come break a few important bones in that slithery, weaslesque body of his just let me know. I say you ask your wife who said this, then we go leave BFG tracks on his forehead. NO NO... better yet, we can attach his legs to my car, and his arms to your bird, then we can see who has a quicker 1/4 mile time (really teach this loser what should and shouldnt be taken seriously)

We are here for ya Hink.

Charlie.

obviously someone had too much time on their hands and felt like pissing someone off. on the other hand, i'm not sure why you're so mad at someone for stuff you wrote. your wife seemed to take it seriously and she should know you better than anyone. if it only took something you typed to make her leave after that many years of marrige, maybe you should be doing something about that than trying to find mr. x.

NO, having too much time on your hands intails cleaning your garage, eating for no reason or even getting on here for 5 hours. You are completely wrong, someone deliberatly screwed with his life. Its not a matter of finding car parts or talking RWHP for this guy anymore. Its a matter of his life. There is a right way and a wrong way to go about anything, and you can not argue that going behind someones back and ambushing them, without even giving them a fighting chance, a moment even, to defend themselves, is the right thing to do. I am sure he is working as hard as he can, trying to mend broken ties, but at the same time, someone stepped on his toes and they must be made aware of that.

just my two cents.

Charlie

that someone my guess would be they are pretty well aware that they stepped on his toes for whatever reason they did it. this is likely the result they were expecting and looking for. it's deffinitly a terrible thing for someone to have done, but this isn't going to get him anywhere.
