shops to do true duals in Michigan

I'm looking for a performance exhaust shop that will do true duals that dump before the rear axle. I'm about to finish up the long-tube install, and I've called acouple places that won't touch it because there are no cats. Any shops in the detroit area that will do them for me? Thanks in advance for any info.

As long as they do it specifically for an "off road" or "race car", then it shouldn't make a difference.
Most speed shops have waivers that state something to the effect of "mods performed may not be street-legal. Some parts for off-road use only."

Its true about cops reading this website, because I read it all the time.....thanks for the info everyone. Now if I could just get those d*mn headers in......
I've always done all my own work on my cars, and I think that these headers are the most frustrating work I've done, and I do have patience. I guess tomorrow the k-member's comin down.....
Thanks again.

OH CRAP!!! I PM'd it to him so the cops wouldn't see it... AND HES A COP!!! Lol. Nice. Hey are you installing LT's? I've done a few sets, the best advice I can give you is have patience, loosen the motor mounts, put a jack under the balancer pulley and lift the front of the engine about 2 inches. That should give you the extra clearance you need to get the passenger side in. Drivers side shouldnt be too bad, I had to remove the shield around the steering knuckle though. Good luck, and remember, drink enough beer and your knuckles won't hurt

Thanks for the added info. I am doing the jet-hot long tubes now. In between shifts, which doesn't leave me with much time. Just an hour or two here and there. I've got the motor jacked up to the cowl now and I can't even get the driver's side in. I did some searches and it seems there have been a few others that had this much trouble. I guess the solution was to drop the k-member a bit. I guess thats tomorrows project. I've been wearing some nice little gloves for the knuckle busting work, but my forearms are pretty beat up, and when I was underneath the car today I dropped a half-inch drive ratchet on my forehead.....ahhh the joys of owning an f-body. Anyways, most cops don't give a rats *** about emissions(unless someone's being a real D*CK!! and we need a reason to give a ticket).

whoa you shouldnt have to crank it up more than an inch or two... how high off the ground do you have the rest of the car? What side is giving you so much trouble?

Gary can put the headers in for you. I'm sure someone told you who Gary is right?

I've got the drivers side in now and the passenger side doesn't look too bad. I took the motor mounts off(because I was going to replace them anyways) and the frame mounts(because I wanted to sandblast them and paint them) and it freed up a lot of space. I think what made it so hard was I didn't have the car high enough. But until I get a lift I have to live with it. Theres no way I'm spending that much time under the car on some little jack stands.
Thanks for the input y'all.

PF&E Did a GREAT job on my custom exhaust for our magazine project car. I know he can more than handle a set of true duals
