Question Question for anyone who was at milan yesterday (or anyday this year)

I went to TnT last night with some new M&H Muscle car drags on convo pros. Hoping to better the time in my sig with a decent 60'. No changes to the rest of the car.

I ran 12.3@111 on a 1.88 60'

I didn't have any scan tools with me, so I'm wondering if I'm really down 4 mph from last year, or if milan is trapping different this year than last year.

The 115mph in my sig was during equally crappy weather (90 degrees in July), so it's not a weather thing. I need to figure this out, if the mph loss is real, I should be knocking down 12.000 once I fix the problem.

Thanks

Chances are the M&Hs are taller than the tires you used before which changes your final drive ratio. 26X11.5X16 ET streets slowed down my 98TA A4 about 2 miles an hour. They were actually 26.5 inches tall versus 25.5" stock. Its just a trade off for a better 60'. Street tires that spin during the run will also enhance mph.

Well the new tire should be within ~0.25" of stock. But I'm thinking that they grow a little (they set off my ABS inop light about mid-way down the track). I didn't realize that my spinning nittos would enhance the mph. I'll have to scan it this weekend to be sure.

Thanks TA Jack!

I bet I'll still knock down 12.0 once I figure out the tire pressure and get a good, hard shifting run.

I was told yesterday that Milan on Friday outhooks Milan on Wednesday by ~0.2. Anybody want to confirm that one??

I was at Milan yesterday and there were other people complaining about trap speeds, I couldn't tell because it was my first time there with my new motor. But I do have one question about Milans track, it felt like the lights on the staging tree were coming down much slower than last year, does anybody know what changed or am I just thinking that they were faster last year due to insanity???

Last year was my first time to the track. This year the lights "seem" slower, but I figured it was just because now I'm more comfortable at the line. I ran 5 times yesterday and cut 0.040 - 0.060 lights each time (that was screwy too, they were reporting reaction times as if 0.00 was perfect, not 0.500). Last year, my reactions ranged from 0.400 to 0.800
