Talking New PBs at St Thomas! Again!!

Well St Thomas was fast again today,Roman had the beast out I will let him tell his times.

Got to meet Flyn Ryan and I think the other fellows name is Tony.

To the time slips: I ran a 13.558@101.76 with a 2.05 60ft. on my first pass.

So I cooled it down for 15 minutes and launched at 1800rpm

60Ft>>1.919 1/8>8.618@XXXX 1/4>13.417@101.35.

I guess the 1/8 mph trap did not work in the right lane.

I ran a bunch more 13.4's but could not hit that elusive 13.3X

The only change was the back seat delete and a 1/2 tank of gas.

Maybe a 13.2 is possible after the pulley swap

Yes I think a 1.8 is realistic, maybe I will buy new swaybar links, cut the old ones off at the track and put the new ones on before I go home

I think that will help the weight transfer.

The car was consistent though I made 12 passes 7 had 1.9 60fts

8 of the 12 were 13.4's

I made some passes in the right lane in the early afternoon and the traction had gone away

Sweet Taner! Yeah Send it to me sometime!

My PB today was 13.980!

The last 14.4 I did the car had stones all over the tires and spun like a biatch off the line!

That was a real fun day, let me know when you guys are going back I'll be there for sure!

Congrats AGAIN, Tom!

13.55 then a 13.41...

You just keep chipping away like crazy on that time

How's the launch looking? Does it bog or spin most of the time? I'd ditch the entire sway bar for a track day I did it And some LCA brackets Keep up the good driving! see ya

Thanks Denny,I am going to put the underdrive pulleys I have on,I have had them for a while, could be worth a tenth

As for the bar,I will try loosening it.

No bog,I was launching at 1800 to 2000rpm and for the most part it hooked

Thanks Bob and Steve.

Dave I think the car would push too much for my driving style with the bar off permanantly,I would like to unhook it just to see if my 60fts improve.

Question

Tom what have you done for tuning? I was looking at your list of mods and would think you would be in the 12/7 or so? I am not ******* your car. Rock 1510 doesn't have the LT4 cam but his car runs 12.6 I think it said. I run 13.5 at 105MPH with a A4 in cold air with 170 Tstat, HPP3, frame ties, 373 gears, B&B TriFlow and K&N filters on a 96 WS6 Formula with street tires. I have run this times a few times at M5 and M7. I spend most of my time playing with the IROC and I am not as up on LT1 or LS1. Just don't understand the difference between your car and Rock 1510. I would think with the cam you would run as fast as him. What is the difference so I understand?
Have you had it dyno tuned? If not I would do that and I think you would P U about .5? I don't understand the difference in the 2 cars and why my cars runs so good with the few mods?

Chris there are a few main ones:The LT4 KM I list is the knock module,If my car ran this slow after a cam swap I would cry and buy a Mustang. LOL

#1)His car is lighter, cloth interior ect.

#2)He is lighter(about 100lbs) LOL

#3)Gears his 3:73 vs my 3:23

#4) 1.6 RR he has them

#5)3000 stall mine 2800.

#6) CC305 Cam he has it.

#7) A cutout,I am getting one!!

#8)PCM tuning he has it.

#9)Mine is my daily driver, for now.

#10)Electric water pump,he has one.

Theres probably more but as you can see thats why he smokes me

But the great equalizer is going on soon(Nitrous)I just won a couple of Ebay auctions so I have my parts coming!!

Look out Dave,I am gunning for you! J/K Buddy

Lightbulb SOMEONE with HONOR...

... Please measure that St. Thomas track!! WAY TOO MANY P.B.'s being set there every week!! I think they are reducing track length by about 4 inches every other week and that is illegal!!

Come get those P.B.'s at MILAN, a mans track, where if you get a new PB, you truely EARNED it!!

CORNGRATS my friends, wish we had driver friendly tracks over here!!

HInk (it's gotta be the air blowing over Lake Huron or sumpin')
