But in a way they are right. I just went to test and tune tonight with a friend with a heads/cam LT1 Formula. His car dynoed 360hp & 345tq. My mostly stock LS1 dynoed 312hp & 344tq on the same dyno. In the weather we had last night I run 12.70-73s @ 107 (Hink can vouch for that). The best that my pal could run was a 12.461 @ 108.81. Now that's not shabby at all. But it's not the 4-5mph and 4-5 tenths that the dyno would indicate.
And our 60s were almost the same. 1.73-78.
Timeslips are the determining factor. In my humble opinion.
