Post Need urgent help from a west sider!

I need someone with a scan tool, auto tap, LT1 edit or SOMETHING to check out my car. It's a 94 Z and has an SES on constant. The car is running in "limp" mode which is netting me about 10mpg on the highway. I ave been to a couple places to have the codes checked, and they try to do it with jumpering the pins in the obd connector. Unfortunately, it won't flash any codes. They know of nothing else to do at that point but scratch their heads.
I used to have Lt1 edit, and I read codes that way. But when I traded it in for the 99Z, I got rid of the cables and everything. I picked this car up as a commuter, remembering the 20mpg my last lt1 got. I knew it had a code set, but figured it can't me major. Simple check and fix. Too bad I can't even get the first part of that done.
I am regional manager for a large home improvement company over in Kalamazoo. I travel to BC, Kzoo, GR, ADA, Lowell, Rockford, Grand Haven, Schoolcraft, you name it. If someone is anywhere around that can help me out, I will come to you.
Any help is appreciated.

If Brad is gettin the cable, and you can find the program, I got the laptop. Is there an OBD-I scan program out there? I have OBD-II, but not OBD-I.

Thanks to chris, SinisterSyclone, my laptop is up and running. I have to pick it up on the way out to the dream cruise tomorrow I have all the software and the cable. Can you get it to Grand Rapids? I will be here Sunday afternoon after we get back from the Dreamcruise. If you can get it here, we can find out what the code is and at least clear them to see if they reset. Let me know

BTW...chris, I got the 3 giger to work. you rock!!!

I've got AutoTap for OBDII. I don't know if a 94z is OBDI or OBDII. I'll be back Sunday afternoon after the dream cruise. Be more than happy to help you out if it'll work.

I work till 5:30 on monday. I have no problem doing it that night if your game. Like I said, email me, or ICQ me. We can figure something out. A 94 should be OBDI like mine is. I have TTS Datamaster that we can scan it with, and Tunercat it the Datamaster isnt enough.

I think autotap will only do OBDII. So I don't think mine will work for you.

Thumbs up

If you have a cable go to http://www.ttspowersystems.com/software.htm
and down load the correct rev of the software you need.
It will let you install the working copy on your system with 6 or 10 recording sessions, then after that you have to pony up a small $$ for the unrestricted pass key...
Hope this helps

Like Hawk said above. That is the software I have to use on your car. If you have a cable and a computer that will reach your car you can do it there. Otherwise come on up to the big city and we can help ya out

Unfortunately I sold the cable in last year's online garage sale. I really do need to pick another one up, I still have SOME software, but if I am going to keep this car I might as well get lt1 edit again or one of the other programs out there. Who has the best price on teh cables these days?

ok, I have an appointment in otsego at 4pm, but I can run back up that way if after 5:30 is the only time to do it. I'm getting about 140 miles per TANK at this point, something has to be very wrong. Don't know if it's o2 sensors or what yet, but I gotta get it figured out. I have a feeling we will get a battery undervoltage code too. IT seems to drop down on the gauge quite a bit when idling at a stoplight with the any accessories going.
