Need a trans shop
Ok, I am looking for a trans shop to do a rebuild. So far i have heard to use CTS in westland. I called them and they want 1800-1900 for a good rebuild. I have also considered sending it to LT1dave in cinncinati but really don't wan't to send it that far. Does anyone know of a good shop that you have dealt with and have personal expierence with one of their rebuilds. I need this don quickly because it is nice out and my car isn't running.

guys thanks for the replies. Rodrigues, I have sent him E-mails but have not heard back from him. Also I am looking for someone closer if possible. Scott, is this a mainly stock rebuild. I saw that you said shift kit and super servos. But I will be adding a nitrous shot shortly and want something that will handle it and won't need another rebuild in a year.
Thanks

Andy,
I would not worry about a 125 shot. If you were going around 200+ then I would worry about hard parts in the trans. The trans I have has the 7 clutchs in the 3-4 pack and some new hard parts that looked questionable so I replaced them.

RC Trans is a very good shop. I have heard nothing but good things and they are even the shop Detroit Speedworks gives their tranny work too, so you know they're top notch.
I had a lot of work done and the out-the-door price was about half of what I expected.
Super nice guys as well.
Edit: They didn't rebuild or even touch either transmission, so don't go thinking it's their fault about my transmission woes. I don't want people thinking they don't know what they are doing because that's definitly not the case. The first tranny was stock (and it's going back in at the moment because it might have been a pcm problem) and the other was bought used. Actually, RC Trans warned me that something was up right when we took it for a test spin after putting the 2nd one in, but I upped the line pressures a little and raised the 2-3 shift point 8 mph and the tranny seemed "okay." Well, "okay" lasted for less than 500 miles. This winter comes the t56.

Aggressive Performance is a good shop. Bruce is a really nice guy, he knows his stuff about G/N's. I don't know who does his trans work though.
