With the LT-1 Edit, the program is locked to the VIN of the car so your buddy would have to buy that program. I don't know for sure, but I think you can tune multiple cars with Tunercat.

I use LT-1 Edit.

http://www.tunercat.com/ tunercats website.

http://www.geocities.com/steve3034/links.html here are the defination files...click on the second link from the top (brent frankers lt1 edit database)...also some other good links here.

http://members.nuvox.net/~on.roz/cars/z28/tuning.html this site has the link to buy the cable that connects the pcm to your computer (akm electronics).

http://www.geocities.com/bowtie8/ this guys name is john, 91 vette, my dad knows him from work and he set me up with the tunercat stuff...saweet vette. 434!!

http://www.carputing.com/ here is the other program that competes with tunercat. tunercat is better tho because you dont have to register one vin number like this lt1edit stuff, more tuning potential for tunercat.

http://www.fbody.com/members/jz97ss1500/ here are some other programs that would go along with lt1 edit.

http://www.f-bodyhideout.com/ good source
