NEED HELP ASAP!!!!! pulling a motor

hey guys,

my father blew up a 99 5.2 lt Ram 1500, i bought a new engine and im pulling the old one for him. i need a ASE certified tech or someone with ALOT of experince. i have the help of my friends (4) and if (you) could be there...it would be great. my dad will pay you 60$ just to help us pull this engine.


i have everything removed, un pluged, drained, un bolted. right now...we need to disconnect the transmisson from the engine and pull the engine. i have the picker and the stand we are gonna put it on.


i have removed the bell housing bolts and supported the trans mission....but i'm kinda lost at what to do next....the new engine will be here friday and i wanna have this done by sunday.



so anyways....... i live in port huron michigan.....and i need your help!!!!!!!

sounds like all you have left is to pull the converter to flywheel bolts, and the motor mount bolts. Start lifting and then keep an eye out for anything that hangs up. You got the exhaust manifolds unbolted?

The engine is not that hard to pull out, you don't even have to take the hood off. I would pull the distributor out if since this is the first one you are doing. If you have not pulled the radiator out yet I would also do that.

Ohh yeah. When you put the distibutor back in, the slot in the drive gear(inside engine) should point to the 1st intake bolt on the drivers side of the engine when the engine is at TDC for cylinder #1. Then when you put the distributor in the rotor should face the plug wire for #6 on the distributor cap.( it will go in two ways)
