Smile M8 Weather - No need to worry...

Before anyone starts posting about it, it always looks like rain before hand, and it hasn't happened yet.

If you go to weather.com, you get one reading, but if you go to intellicast.com you get another and if you go to accuweather.com you get another and so on...

At the time of this post:

Weather.Com - 30% Chance of Rain

wunderground.com - Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers. Lows in the mid 40s and highs in the upper 50s.

Intellicast.com - Partly cloudy, chance of a thunderstorm. Highs in the low 60s and lows in the low 40s.

Accuweather.com - Increasing cloudiness with a shower possible in the afternoon

REMEMBER - Stanton usually get less rain than surrounding areas. It can be dry in Stanton but pouring only a few miles away.

Don't sweat the weather, this happens every year.

This is almost an exact replica of the post I made last year about this.

Already answered in the other thread, but not a bad idea to mention it here...

Rain/Snow
Everyone always asks what if it rains or snows. Well, we have been blessed so far with decent weather (for the most part) for the previous events.

With this one being later in the year than normal, we do indeed run a risk of bad weather. If things do get bad, the event will be re-scheduled for possibly the spring. At the very least, we can have a meet and greet somewhere in the area, and that is REALLY what this event has been all about from that start anyway.

In the event of a calcellation, refunds (or partial refunds if the event is cancelled halfway through the day) will indeed be issued, etc. There is no financial risk (except for me ) to coming to this event. Many times, it rains everywhere except for that area where the track is. Don't ask me why or how, but others who go there often will attest that I speak the truth. Quite an anomaly but one that seems to work in the favor of those who run at that track.

So, no one has any excuse to NOT showing up!

I was still there pushing my car onto a trailer in the snowstorm at M5.
Sitting in the staging lanes watching the flakes fly at M6.

I'm prepared this year. 4WD baby!
