Well, basically, since this post started with "from what I understand the car was hit by an eclipse" don't be stupid and assume anything. Not even the originator of this thread really knows what happened.

I obviously, don't know what happened either, but, it's a lot easier to lose control of a RWD 310hp car than a 200hp, FWD, automatic.

Until we find out who hit who, best to keep our mouths shut.
Don't even go that for to assume its easier to lose control of one kind of vehicle over another! You nerver never know what other people are capable of doing. People loose control of their lawn mowers and run over their own feet!

one of my friends on here that doesnt post often at all was there and he got some of it on tape..from what he told me the camaro looked like it went out of control but i wasnt there.. when i head out to my parents tonight ill prolly stop by his place and check it out..that sucks..it shows that track isnt even the safest place..in this game there are no safe places...now what about his insurance? hows that gonna go? milan doesnt really car about the slower and stock cars as much as they do the very fast ones..ive shown up there and ran in shorts and sandals before where most tracks dont even allow that

Yet more reason why I absolutely will not run my car at Milan. I have compromised safety one too many times and don't care to do it again. Just my personal prefernece, no slam on anyone here.

I was very surprised to see the majority of drivers without helmets(excluding the very very fast), i know I raced a few cars as fast or faster than mine without them, and my car ran a best of
13.8, and I think the rules say anyone faster than 15.0 must have one, anyway tell me more, you must have had some bad experiences at this track, where do you go?

I have gone to Milan many times over the last 30 years. I have gone about every 3 or 4 years . I always say I will not go back because of track conditions or lack of them. Every few years someone will say they have corrected what they were doing wrong. Then when you go there is never any traction and you spin half way down the track. The last time I was at Milan I ran .50 slower than what I run at Mid Michigan MotorPlex. I agree with Jason I have too much money in my cars to take them to that track.
If you want to go to two of the best tracks in the country they are Mid Michigan Motorplex or Norwalk in Ohio. Both of the tracks are within 2 hours driving time . They both hook like they were prepped for a NHRA event. They don't get any better than that.
If your car went 13.8 at Milan then you would go at least 13.4 at one of the above tracks. Not trying to flame anyone just my .02

You guys can always drive over to the West side of the state too and run at Martin. They just dump HUGE amounts of money into the place, and it is REALLY nice. Very strict on saftey rules, but a good bunch of people as far as I have seen. Just a idea for ya, and its almost a staight shot down I-94

Except that they're too cheap to actually use their million-dollar irrigation system, so the pits are like a freakin' dust bowl. Did they end up curing the slipperiness by the end of the season?
And the BIKES! Don't even get me started on the bikes...
