LPE CAI kit

Need help, cant get the LPE CAI kit to fit into my 97 LT1, Z28. I have ASR, does this make a difference? Shouldn't, but LPE website said "it fits" and low and behold, doesn't on mine, or am i just a tool novice mechanic? Thanks in advance.

Lingenfelter, right? I installed a 93 LT1 CAI soooo a MAF car cannot be THAT difficult. What part isn't fitting? What part of west michigan are you in?

Re: LPE CAI kit

I'm in Muskegon, the super tube doesn't fit in in the bay, it's like it's too long. The tube when connected to the MAF sensor, won't rest properly from there to the air filter area. It's like the tube is too long...the bung for the little rubber hose on the back of the tube doesn't match up at all. It hits some kind of module under the hood...

Can you get a picture? My GUESS is they sent you the tube for a 93 car (speed density) instead of one for a 94+ MAF car.
