Looking for compass/outside temperature digital display for the car, you know the auto dim mirrors with compass/temp. They are cool but Expensive at $200+.

Found out Gentex, the leading mirror manufacturer is in Zeeland, MI.
Anyone work their or have a lead for a better price mirror? Do they have an outlet at the factory! Jay

 

Gentex does not sell to the public... They sell to one distributer "MTI" thats the only way to get one unless you buy a car with the mirror on it from the factory or........ you know Me. My dad is a sales rep there. I may be able to hook you up. Shoot me an email with some contact info.

I was thinkin the same but $200+ is way too much for those mirrors. Let me know how it turns out, I MAY be interested as well in the not-so-distant future.

 

I thought about one of those in the past, but I was wondering if the compass/temp part has it's own brain, or do you need other hardware to use one?

 

The ones on Ebay.. WILL NOT WORK... they are not wired for the camaros nor do they have lights under them.

you know what the trick is... you need to find someone that works at the plant! if one gets scratched, doesn't meet qc requirements or something they are usually junked. so if they are made in michigan we need someone to hook us up!!!

my old grand cherokee had one (auto dimming) and i loved it!! maybe junk yards off a cherokee! i've seen them with the compass but not sure what they come in..

 

I also MIGHT be able to hook you up.

Thats not a Gentex mirror... the quality on the Gentex mirrors can't be matched..

As for everyone else, I might be able to get about 5 or 6 mirrors with wiring harnesses "Promos" Here is the list, in order of who has first dibs.

You're right, Jay. It's a Magna-Donnelly mirror.

I think you're making an uneducated statement about quality. I know the picture sucks, but it's beautiful, and works flawlessly.

But don't worry, I won't steal your business!
