i like it...did you see where you can opt for a 427 ls1 version in the land down under?

whoever runs things over there is a genius! an ls1 option for almost every vehicle is just crazy...

The car looks pretty good.... just doesnt SEEM like a GTO, and it definately doesnt meet the expectations of a Firebird replacement. It looks like something my mom would buy. It's no where near as sexy as the 98+ WS6
But I bet it would be an easy car to hussle import owners with
just pokin fun guys ... hehe

It needs a Ram Air hood. Who has ever seen a GTO that didn't have a hood scoop. Every GTO that came off the assembly line had one and that is one reason this car does not look like a GTO.

i agree with you completely; although i bet the aftermarket world will jump all over the car if it does well.

a few subtle little touches and i think the car would look great.

it's no f-body for sure; but at least its a ls1 alternative.

I'd have to see one on the road, but it looks to me like it should have a bigger wheel base both ways. The silver drawings that came out made it like the size of an f-body, but the actual pictures make it look smaller than my Grand Prix. It looks like a step up from Grand Am size wise. I don't know maybe its just me. Like I said I'll have to see one in person.

As a past 1969 Pontiac GTO owner I say... Why didn't Pontiac put the LS1 into a Grand AM or Prix and let austaralia keep the freakin Holdens. Hope you all can learn to drive from the passenger seat!!

Next thing Ford will be bringing over the Falcon then we can have our own brand of Austrilian Super-Car races. Just like NSCAR, 4 door cars racing, OH BOY!

HInk (I am sickened to my very soul)

Redbird my brother had a 64 GTO and when he went to Nam I got the car until he got back. I loved that car and it was sweet for it's day. I can't beleive they didn't put a hood scoop on it. The hood scoop was a trade mark of the GTO. It needs a Ram Air hood and I think then people would like it better. I bet next year they will put a hood scoop on it and Ram Air as a option. Then they will call it the WS6 GTO or a Judge version. I think everyone would like that much more.

America developed the Muscle Car... that original Muscle Car was the '64 GTO. You can ship crap over from other countries, you can put any name on them, but to put the sacred name GTO on an import is blasphemus ! If it says GTO on it, and people call it a GTO, is it really a GTO?
NO!! It's a Holden with the sacred GTO name on it.

If Japanese cars runonm rice, whats it run on gonna run on, Kangarooo ****?

Looks like a toned-down Grand Prix. It's styling is so unbelievable boring, it's disgraceful to put the name GTO on it. What a shame.

Exclamation

Who gave a fruck what Italy thought. We are the most powerful country in the world! If they would have given us any crap, Pontiac would have sent over GM troops and we would have conqured their boot lookin' country AGAIN!

Really though... they weren't too upset, especially when one of the car mag's did a side by side comparison/test and the american
GTO kinda got whooped!!

What I am wondering is who are we gonna import the new
Chevelle SS from??!! Probably sumpin' from Korea!!
