Re: irocss85 help!!!

What makes you think you blew a head gasket? white smoke? coolant in with the oil? Sometimes a blown headgasket can wipe out all your bearings if the coolant got in with the oil, its a good time to do a rebuild and make some performance upgrades.

Re: irocss85 help!!!

yeah, Id love to help ya out, but Im pretty booked up till atleast mid to late winter with a v8 conversion. if you can wait that long, email me. if not I can help get you a good deal at my work. but it'll be exp. still Im sure. is there coolant in the oil? how much? have you overheated the eng? also a good idea is when the heads are off, get them checked out at a machine shop for cracks. cheap ins. if you ask me. I'll do the head gaskets for ya for $500 if you ahve headers, $575 w/o headers. email me though

Re: irocss85 help!!!

yeah sorry. it wouldnt be fair of me to do that. anyways, pull the oil dipstick and see if the oil look normal. and check the level. if its milky or more then half a qrt high, then there's coolant in there. hopefully thats not the case, cause if so just be ready for a rebuild. the coolant wipes out the bearings pretty quick as john said in the earlier post.
