Unhappy Clutch issues (Help)

Afternoon I'm not sure what to think, a few weeks ago I was toying with a new C6 vette. We were both at a light; when it turned green I took off normal (i.e. not just letting off the clutch and slammin the gas) once the car was moving and clutch was engaged then I got on her. I don't beat on my car but will push her sometimes only after coming out of first easy. So we're goin, when I shifted from 2nd to 3rd and got on it I could notice and hear like she was having a hard time getting speed with the RPMs up in the 4000 - 5000 RPM range. Clutch slipping?

I didn't think much of it since she drove fine the rest of the day. So the last week or so, while taking it for spins I've noticed that when I get on it some there’s like this whooshing noise which seems to be coming from the clutch/driveline/transmission area. I'm wondering if something gave out? I.e. clutch slipping, throw out bearing, slave, ect. Noticed today that it's more noticeable, the lil chatter that I use to have since having the car new is gone, and when driving the clutch engages when barely lifting it off the floor board (1-2 inches), feels tight and spongy all in one. Also get some slightly rough chatter when leaving from 1st gear at low RMPs (never had that happen before).

Anyone have any ideas of suggestions? A good friend of mine (Irocss85) on here is my trusty master mechanic at the dealership I go to. Just looking for what or if others have experienced this at all.

If it's something major and not covered under my extended major guard, then a LS7, Spec, or McLeod sounds good.

There is no burning smell at all......thankfully

Tonight I checked the fluid level; it's full to where it should be. Is it normally clear in color? Kind of looks like vegetable oil to me, mine has some what of a graphite color to it - okay or bad?

Pushing the clutch pedal is still tight, spongy and not like it use to be.....

FYI..... the car just turned 10,000 miles

Sorry for the long post.........

update

Well finally it was a nice day with no rain and I had time to get her out and do the self-test. Did the in 3rd gear at 3500rmp and stomped on it a few times. RMP's didn't just shoot up or anything, car accelerated but not like it use too. (If anyone can understand what I'm tryin to say) Seemed to be lagging some like she wasn't accelerating as fast as she should of.

Plus the other thing of hearing some weird chatter (that's what i call it) when the clutch isn't engaged. I know from doing searches on here and other boards some is normal for our cars. Funny thing is I had it since I bought the car new and now the normal thing I use to hear is gone and theres all this different kind.

So I guess I'll have to wait and see what the outcome is come this Tuesday morning, gonna take it in to the dealer my buddy works at. Hopefully it'll be covered under my extended warrenty if something failed prematurely.
