The Iroc is done!

Just got home a bit ago after doing the final legs of the install of the Vigilante 2800 convertor (THANKS AGAIN MIKE!!!!!) rebuilt tranny, and rebuilt rear end. What an undertaking. Ya know, you always think that things are gonna be done in a couple hours. A couple hours turns into 2am and you're driving home all dirty and zoned out. Or bleeding profusely with a concussion like Quentin

I did have a LOT of help though from Quentin and Danny. Man are those guys f*cking great to know. Car hauls even faster now... 2nd gear is scary and so is 3rd. And best of all... NO MORE CLATTER on the 2-3 shift. Solid! WOHOO! St Ignace here we come.

does that higher stall and smaller converter feel like it gets you in the power band a little better?

Pete, Yes I am taking it to the track soon!

Mike, Thanks! And Don't sell your Iroc!

Mike, the WHOLE car is different... its like its not even my car anymore. WHOLE drivetrain is tight. Its like the convertor has a dual stage lockup or somthing... it starts to set you back in your seat and then around 4500 it kicks ya in the teeth again and starts haulin.... I dunno what to say. I do like it though, feels a lot tighter than the TCI 2400.

Now I have to edit my sig a little...

Done but can it HANG!?

I really can't wait to see that thing go 12's... SOON!

I really need ya to get ET Streets next. You'll be more than impressed when you can't spin the tires from a dead stop. It's almost dissapointing at first cause you think to yourself...damn this car is so weak it can't turn the tires... Then you get a timeslip and go home to clean your shorts out. hehe

Well, not everyone I ended up going from 2500 rpm stall to about 2000 when I bought Jeffs trans. I guess I took a step backwards

I started giggling profusely when I read that. NO I haven't seen it yet. What is it? take pics!

Guys thanks for all the kind words. IROC5.7TPI, check my sig for engine bay pics. Don't open the link if you're at work. There are 3 pictures of a naked asian girl in there.

Denny, I just spent $1300 in the last 4 days on my car meing... I can't afford anymore new tires. Again, thanks Q!

Ahh well, I have a phone to fix quick. Guy dropped his Nextel in the new water pipes they were laying under the street I assume. Phone looks great inside... how does that happen???
