Question IMPORTANT QUESTION: Is it best to...

...Paint your 6-point before installation or after installation?

What color would look best on a red exterior and graphite interior?

paint it before then touch up the welded areas after... You won't be able to get the hard-to-reach spots after it's in place.

Grey or graphite to match the interior, IMO. Might also look cool to spatter it just a wee bit with red to match the exterior.

Just my $0.02...

It depends on how you want to do it.I would paint it gray or graphite to kinda blend it into the interior as best as it can for that somewhat stealth look ( Not that a 6 point cage is going to be that stealty ) or possibly painting it red to accent the exterior of the car on the interior side.( but that might be a little on the ricey side ) Just go ahead and paint it safety orange so all the tech inspectors have no problem seeing it

Cool

Kev,
Tape off about 2 inches from where it's going to be welded. That way you won't have burnt paint to fool with before touching it up after the install.
I'd paint it the same red as the car for that bold look. Or match the interior color as close as possible.
The new welder is working great

I polished mine in my 70 SS396 Chevelle. After I did the welding I ground down the weld marks and polished those up as best I could. It looked pretty clean but eveyone in the world could see it. On your car I would try to match the interior. Every kid that see the roll bar will be wanting to race. I think they just wanted to see me get on it. My girl friend hated the car.

No Chris... Everyone wanted to see you ROLL the car at high speed. THEN they wanted to see how a polished rollbar held
up!!

Good ideal Al about the tape.

Tom: Rainbow to match the rainbow stickers on my windows!!

Actually I'm leaning toward Rebecca's breast, er I mean
idea!!
