Thumbs up I saw DERTY on TV!

I was watching FOX 17 and they were doing a "drag racing special" and some reporter was at the track talking about cars. There was a sharp looking Trans AM behind him, and then it did a nice burn out.

I was watching the car, and saw the plate = DERTY

AWESOME MAN!

Just thought I'd let ya know.

Sweeet, and I missed it. Anyone have it on video tape? It might run again on that Fox news channel up around 43 or something like that here in GR? Too bad they missed the wheelie!

EDIT: The car is dog slow right now, needs nitrous... lol!

We'll see how the video that my brother took turned out. He's got the whole track videoing thing down, ends up with really good video.

The pics I was taking sucked about 50% of the time, need more practice taking track pics!

Did you get a video of my car blowing the T56 up? That should be a good one to laugh at.

Good light, good launch...

and BOOM! end of race day. I still cant figure out why all gears are gone. It could be clutch related, or maybe the shift fork broke. That THD 400 is going to add some weight, so you will have to step it up on spray.

It feels like it's the output shaft. If you put it in any gear and the car moves it simply cannot be coupled to the gear box. If it was the input shaft it would have chunked the clutch disk out and made a mess. I started the car up and it ran fine, no clunking up front. We'll see next weekend when I pull it out.

Hey Steve,
Crawl under there and make sure that it's the trans that is the problem. A friend on the 4th gen list had a simular happening, pulled his trans, pulled his clutch. Everything was OK. He put it all back toghther and still no go. Had his wife put the car in gear and let out the clutch and the drive shaft just spun, rear wheels no go. He then pulled the differential cover and found that the pinion gear had broken off of the input shaft. And this was on a 12 bolt.
I'd just hate to see you pull the tranny for nothing.
