Anyone ever hear that old saying...

"I should have just ****ing bought a RamJet 502 Crate motor and sprayed it because it would have cost the same amount of money and made a couple hundred more HP..."

or the other old saying

"I should have just ****ing bought a Pat Musi 650 Rat motor with a carb and some spray because doing things right the first time is always good, and it costs just a liiiiittle bit more but still well worth it"...

Mmmm...yeaaa thanks..

The full QA1 setup is laying there too. Just need some warmth and some ambition.

Jeff, ya know.... it is gonna be a lot of work. But thats why we do this isn't it?

I want to have my car looking like your car one day. I am thinking that "one day" will be in the cards very shortly. Your car is frickin beautiful. Thats all you can say about it... beautiful. To have somthing that no one else has is somthing to marvel at. And I am well on my way to doing so. I see 2 other Red Iroc's around Grand Rapids, and I know that they are not what mine will be.

All of us guys here are fanatics when it comes to modding. Man what a hobby eh?

(I have been helping a "friend" tonight try and straighten out her life, and I have been in a strange mood so if my post seems a little weird, attribute it to my night.)

\HAPPY RANT\
it's 3....I gotta be up at 6 so that I can drive 70% of my 10 hour work day, then an oil change, alignment, and new front tires all on the beater, pick up block possibly, drive an hour north, sleep. get up at 4 am, drive for 4 more hours, watch Pro Rally cars assault the northern woods of Michigan in 20 degree weather with 5" of total snow falling while I stand there all day., drive 4 more hours home Wish me luck!
\HAPPY RANT\

Jeff...i hate to break it to you, BUT Brad likes your car. bottomline

I thought I was the only one with projects going on.

I did forget the K-member. Got it powdercoated & it looks real pretty. I thought WTH, the motor will be out, I might as well upgrade, it should be easier. Looks like I should drop 40 lbs.

Dam Matt, it's gonna be a wild year... I wish I could do everything I wanted to, but it doesn't look like it's going to work out that way. I'm happy with a 9 sec street car though.

Jessie, that's a good deal. What color, how many miles? Dont mess up on the financing this time. Check around on autotrader.com & compare what you are looking at to what is available on there. There are some great deals on there.

Well... I have my Spohn LCA's and Panhard bar sitting here looking at me... I get this feeling they don't like me.

The Comp Pro Magnum Roller rockers arrived from a guy in New York about a week ago. 1.52 Self aligning $215 shipped. List price of $325 I think.

I am still trying to figure out what I need to buy in terms of Front Sway bar poly bushings and all around sway bar links.

The Holley Stealth Ram will be going on as soon as I get over being so scared to buy it.

I have got to do some interior work like carpet, trim, and headliner. Funny thing is that I have enough in my bank account for all the new go fast parts I want but I just can't seem to buy them

I need tires too... crap.

I am shooting for low 13's or high 12's on all motor. I figure that I have spent $2500 already and will probably spend $1000 this year on her. Not bad for shaving 2 full seconds off and adding probably 12 mph.
Brad,

Sounds great! your coming a long way since last I saw you tring to blow your engine up! Your new job must be going good? well this is more of a hello. You should be doing some serious smackdown on your times this year We still got to race some time.

Update on Winter project

OK the engine is rebuilt, painted and put in. Ive got like 2 oil cooler hoses left to hook up. I still want to recheck the starter shimming situation but all I got left to do Is put in the fluids prime the oil pump, put in the distributor and crank it over and pray it doesnt blow up!!!

Damn this thing better run or I will be out a car as I cant afford to do this twice, for another 5 years or so.

My car is waiting on warm weather. It's just too cold to sit out and put a car together. I still need a few parts and I need money for those parts, so I'm hoping I have money about the time that spring comes around. I still don't think I'm gonna be driving it this year.

hmmmm

i only have to slap in the rear hals, and all set to go. i may buy a cheap *** drag bucket for race days.

i have pulled 150lbs from the car and going to a drag seat and no passenger seat will net me another 50lbs

i have been doing a warm weather sun dance. but so far it hasn't worked

Wink BUWAHHAHA!!!

Well,
I got the top half off the motor right now and got a set of LS6 St2s that I picked up on the way back from MTI. Just got the injectors back from blueprinting(#36 lucas).LS6 intake in the box. Working on some custom fuel rails & pump. Still haven't decided on the "bumpstick" yet. Any suggestions?
I'll probably move the coils and do something with the valve covers when I put it back together.

Suspension is done (well for now)
I got the new rear springs in (slp takeoffs to replace lowering ones that came with car), front springs and shocks (again, slp takeoffs to replace lowering springs), and !swaybar.

As far as engine mods, all the stuff is here and I just started the simple stuff tonight. I have the oil drained, coolant drained, and the intake tract off. Next is the radiator and on and on and on. My goal is consistent high 11's :-).

And dreamer...I'll have your probe tomorrow...
next...the red rag ;-)
