How far off are trap speeds at Lapeer dragway??

Went to Crapeer, I mean Lapeer for a end of year last chance before snow drag test. The car ran very very good despite poor traction. My question is compared to other tracks, Milan, Stanton, Ubly, Grand Bend, St. Thomas, Norwalk my car always runs in the 107-108 range. But al Lapeer it runs in the 109-110 range. Now the density alt on Sun was very very good, -2235 ft below sea level, but worth 2 mph I don't know??

He's the best timeslip,
60ft- 2.073
1/8th ET- 8.442
1/8th mph- 91.01
1/4th ET- 12.811
1/4th mph- 110.45

Now this seems to happen to only my car because other cars there were running times and speeds like they do at other tracks. I asked a few people. I'm just wonderign if anyone here has noticed this. Seems like a G-tech time to me. Maybe the trap speed isn't being measured the last 66ft like it should. I don't think my car should hit 110 mph traps unless dropped off the Sears Tower.....

Hmmmm maybe. Just seems like this Camaro and my past two ran better speeds at Lapeer than they did at other tracks.

Yes the air was certainly good, couldn't ask for any better.

I ran a blown 01 silver Cobra coupe there.
It had an E-trim 8lb's of boost, solid axle, 4.10's and DR's. He was having some problems to say the least. He 13.28 @113.1 to my 12.91 @110.5.
it woulda been closer but I cought him sleepin at the light. .786 to my .565!

The cooler air will help your top end speed out. I ran at Lapeer, Milan, and Stanton this year. My trap speeds were all within one mile per hour of each other between the 3 tracks....

Oh thats classic! That track and its staff are something else.... No sharp tools in that shed.
But they are close and open till 12/14 this year.

The 110 could be real or close to real. But the 91 in the 1/8 is terribly bogus.
When I run 110 in the 1/4 I run 88 in the 1/8. Of course with the slicks and converter the ETs are different.

The last few people I talked to who ran there said that the MPH seemed to be spot on with what they ran at Ubly.

Of course, YMMV

everthing is correct with lapeers time slips other than the 1/8 mile mph being 1mph high. You can use GPS and see this

Hmmm well I guess its possible. It just seems high in my case. Being as though I've never been past 108 at any track excpet Lapeer. However the conditions have not been as good as they were at Lapeer that day either. I mean DA's below -2200ft is crazy air! So maybe it made that big of a difference. I just wanted to get some other opinions on this.

I agree the 1/8th trap is high, 91mph would suggest quite a bit more power than my car has. Maybe thats why I figured the 1/4th mph was off because that was high to me.

Now my only wish is to be at Norwalk, Stanton or Grand Bend when conditions are like that again. 1.7-1.8 60ft's woulda really helped the ET with power like that.

I didn't know there was still a track open. Where is Lapeer, how much does it cost and what days are they open?

Lapeer usually yields higher traps. Only about 1 mph or so, nothing too bad. I've only been once and trapped 100.5mph as compared to my 99 mph at Milan bone stock. Just how it is I suppose.
