Hey you Grand Rapids people......

I am meeting my dad tonite to take in the Boat Show. We used to eat at Flanigans, but the food there hasn't been too good the last couple of tries.

What's a good beer and a burger joint within walking distance of the Scamway Grand/Convention Center?

Thanks in advance,

RRRR

The BOB rocks.....stands for Big Old Building. corner of Fulton and Monroe. Like 8 different resturants and bars inside. You will love it.

If you dont mind driving a few blocks, The Cottage Bar and Grille has awesome burgers. Its on the corner of Fulton and LaGrave, just up the road from the Van Andel Arena. Or if you go North on Monroe for 3-4 blocks past Devos Place, there is a place called Teasers. Its a biker-type bar known for frickin huge burgers.

TGI Friday's is right around the corner. Even a little closer than the BOB. Reasonable prices, great atmosphere, usually pretty busy also(Eye candy). Heck you know what a TGIF is. Also Taps up a few blocks from Vanandel has great food and tons of room to roam with a beer. 2 floors,a bar upstairs with like 100 different kinds of beer on tap, hence the name. Good food also.
