Header and exhaust leak

So after going through and totally disassembling my whole exhaust system and tightening my header bolts, I still have an exhaust leak. I did find that one of the welds that hold the heat shields on broke loose leaving a small hole the drivers header.
Thats getting fixed tonight. What is another way to find leaks?

Have someone block the tailpipes with something. This will magnify any leaks.

Copper gaskets on the manifolds? Solved my problems finally after 3 sets of composit Felpros If the bolts came loose and it leaks once, the gasket could be entirely wasted. Sorry to hear and goodluck!

Thanks, where did you get the copper gaskets? I was thinking about getting those anyways. How much do they usually run?

I got mine @ Summit racing. They have their own line of gaskets and a good price too. Steven

I was at Ramchargers today and they had them hanging on the wall. If you want some contact Dave Deel here on the board and he can ship them to you. He works for Ramchargers in the mail order dept. Also Hot Rod Hawk (Jeff). You can also call Brian at the Livonia store. They are all good guys. Now that is $5.00 each for the plugs I need to get some of that money back I have been spending.
