Ok guys, I talked to a few people yesterday who are helping me make this thing fly. I have some info for you, and being it is 1 week away, its time for the final checklist. Here we goooo....

Party starts at 12:00 noon on Saturday February 15th. Ends at 11:00am Sunday February 16th or when ever we all crash. I would prefer you showed up around 11:30 or so to give us time to set you up on the network. Better early then late. If you have experiance setting up a network like this I would prefer you here at 11:30am. I put a map in the other thread to my home, but if you missed it here it is again Map to the GR-CZ28 LAN party

Bring something to sleep in or on....IE...sleeping bag.

Please have any of the games I will list below already installed on your computer. If you have it that is. If not, we will take care of you when you get here.

You are REQUIRED to bring a computer and a surge strip. Those are what gain you entry into my home. Without them your bummin.

Please bring something to add to the munchies table. Dont go crazy and order crabcakes for everyone. Even if Dave tries to tell you too Simply a bag of chips or something. I figure we can all throw in 5 bucks and load up on pizza sometime during the night.
I will make breakfast if you guys wake my lazy *** up in the morning. Thats my way of saying thank you for showing up.

We are going to ALL have access to the internet via my cable connection. But there will be ground rules for how many people can be on at one time. Because of the internet we will be able to invite a LIMITED amount of online players into SOME of the games. The rules for this will be layed out when you get here. What this means is some of the members can play with us, even though they are not there. SO if anyone cant make it, and wants to play, please give me a phone number, or AIM or ICQ number and we will get ahold of you when and if a game slot opens up. I think that will be a cool way to involve even more of the CZ28.com members. You WILL have to have a copy of the game we are playing, that is your responsibility to get.

As for the games, the other thread set out the top 6 via a poll. They were in order of most wanted.....

I personally have Warcraft 3, and Metal of Honor the full version. I will try to make as many copies of these as I can. If anyone has the others listed, PLEASE contact me via 616-299-4335 and let me know which one, and if you can make copies of it for us. We HAVE TO FIND THEM before next weekend, other wise the games might change. If you dont have a game being played at the party, you can buy a copy from someone who has it for the cost of 1.00 for the disc. At the end of the party you can sell it back to the owner for the 1.00 cost of the disc. That way you arent stealing any software

Please bring cat 5 and crossover cables if you have them. If you dont, no big deal, we will have you covered. But if you do it will be easier to setup if you have the cable ready made. MAKE SURE to mark clearly ALL of your hardware. NO crying about whos stuff is what that way. We should have the routers covered as well.

I will have Quake 2 covered and I believe that Jason (KillerJello) has RTCW covered. If not I can cover that one also, but will need to know for sure.

 

Roads can be good or bad. Highways are usually good, and I live right off the highway. If you want to, remind me on the morning before you leave and I will let you know what they are like.

NFS4 should be cool....Only bummer is my my steering wheel is not a usb style and my new computer has no game port like my old one. I might have to go pick up a cheap game card real fast so I can use them!

Yep, I do that one this week. The one I have that I was playing is a copy, so I shouldn't have any problems making more copies. I haven't tried the multiplayer part of it though.

I already have 10 copies of Quake 2 sitting on the desk.

 

Cool...hopefully we wont have any problems. If we do, then we just play a different game. So make sure everyone brings a few extras with ya just in case. Metal of Honor is taken car of and I have 6 copies of warcraft made so far. This is SO going to ROCK
