hey guys,

to make a long story short, i was driving my truck and to avoid a head on collision i decided to hit a parked RAC truck that had a lift gate, my 99 GMC seirra z71 is in bad shape... i need a new front clip, radiator and support, overflow bottle and passenger side door, and windsheild.

its currently at a dealership (caddilac) and i'm hoping that they are going to fix it... the hood went into the windshield and the frame looks okay but the shock tower ? metal hump in the engine bay and the part where the hood hinge bolts onto on the passenger side are bent/gone !!!

i have pics up on my site, do you guys think this can be fixed?

i wanna find the front clip of a 01 denali and just swap it over minus the bumper ( i like my fog lights and tow hooks)

any places online whree i could get a front clip besides ebay? calling dreamer1q on monday and i've left a message for him at his workplace but if Q could fill me in on any price info ... even a guess would be great!!!

why are you even worring about it. If it is at a bodyshop, they will do the estimate, your insurnace compnany will either total it or approve it. They find the parts, they put them on, you pick up the truck when its done. Personally I wouldnt worry about it at all. Its alot easier that way

sorry about your truck.... it looks like it might be a total to me. being 5 yrs old and that muc h damage to the tower doesnt look good. sorry again

 

Crap man, well it's been a while since you have been bitten eh? I am glad to see you are alright! The 71 is kind of mushed though... This reminds me of the time you took out that Expedition. Lol... which reminds me of the time we went barreling over that speed bump in your old k-5. lol. "Dude check this out"...(he looks at me with a look of sheer BLISS, as we slam over a HUGE speed bump at 30mph, throwing us both up into the air, nearly hitting our heads on the american flag roof liner you had jerry rigged up. Or was it the longhorn skull? I dont remember). Good times buddy, I miss ya. You need to come on over to this side of the country, there are some pretty darn hot cars out this way (especially on base), and BEAUTIFUL roads to flex and flog a rental vehicle. Hope the insurance takes care of it, give me a call this weekend.
