Good winter beater for sale, Cheap!
Good winter beater for sale, Cheap! NOW WITH PICTURES!
This pains me greatly, I had alot of fun with this car. This car has more personality that some people I know. I bought it off of a fellow board member (OneWickedElement) a little over a year ago, and it has been a great car. It is a 1989 Pontiac Lemans, and it has been highly customized. I'm sure some of you saw it at the Dream Cruise
The car is in great shape, and only has 78,xxx miles on it. It's a 4 cylinder (PHENOMENAL on gas) and has a 4 speed manual transmission. The body is in good shape and rust free, save for a few tiny spots of surface rust on the fender lips. When I bought it, it had approx 74,xxx miles on it, and Milo had just put a new clutch in it, so that is still in great shape. I added a new Duralast Gold battery, a new starter, a new water pump, and a new blower motor for the heat (works good, once its warmed up!) I've also done a tune up on it recently, new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, belt, thermostat etc... In the fall of this year, september I want to say, I put 4 brand new tires on all around. It's great in the snow, the tires are narrow so it cuts right through.
Now for the custom work: Mostly the paint. The car is red (mostly) with black below the belt molding. I added a wild flame job on the front, with yellow fading to white tips, and outlined lightly in black. The doors each have a large white circle with the number "two" spelled out just like that in black paint. The rear window and the rear side windows have stickers from just about every performance part I've ever bought. Badging on the car is somewhat odd... GT 4.6l badges off of a mustang are on the fenders, the front grill bears a fiero logo, and the back middle has the VW sign. The rear also has badging off of at least 5 other cars, making a saying. The "dy" was removed from "dynasty" and the rest reads "nasty 5-speed turbo v-tec v8"
This was done to be humorous, and gets a good reaction from those who understand the joke. The car also has a 40-sound animal horn *with* megaphone, and can play la cucaracha.
The car does need brakes, I have the front pads but I have been too busy to put them on. Rotors could probably use some lovin too. I have used this car to drive to and from work, and to cruise around in a bit in the winter. It's great on gas, and has never left me stranded. I really don't want to sell it, but I just bought a Jeep and I don't need 3 cars. I'm asking **$300** firm for the car, which is a great price for a good reliable beater so dont bother lowballing me.

Enjoy!
P.S. A good sense of humor is mandatory to drive this car. If you want attention, this car gets it!
