Do the valve covers have a provision for the alternator to clear?

I'm interested in the valve covers as well. Are they centerbolt for LT1? Are they tall or short? Are they open on the inside or do they have webbing in them at the bolt locations like the stock ones do?

I believe they are open on th inside but they don't have the relief area for the alternator. You'd need to adjust your mounting position
