It was on the episode of American Hot Rod where Charlie left. He told Boyd that he didnt want to quit, but this was an opprutunity of a lifetime to work on a Riddler car. He wanted to come back and work for Boyd when he was done with the car that Foose was building, and Boyd flipped out and told him to f*ck off essentially.

For anyone that wasnt able to make it to the show, I have a directory full of Autorama pictures, including the 36 Coupe that Foose worked on. Full size 1600x1200 pics available on request. I never saw Foose or Courtney or any of them, but I did run into Joe Gibbs while taking pictures of Foose's car. Cool guy.

 

Did anyone notice that the paint sceme was the same as his last riddler winner? There were some other custom guys that were cool to see like George Barris and Bill Hines. Steven

 

Well, Charlie, Beetle, and i saw one other guy from Boyd's shop that are now employed by Foose from what it looked like, i got to meet and talk with Charlie/Chip/Chip's dad, and got their autographs on a Autorama poster, and took pics with Charlie/Chip, and Chris from overhaulin was wandering around, so i got a pic with him. TLC's Rides was there, so i might be on TV. I will say this, The Foose crew was awesome, they signed autos and took pictures for as long as they had a crowd there, congrats on the Riddler award fella's and for being stand up guys to boot.

 

Yea I saw the guy Chris from overhaulin' as well spoke to 'em as all the cars started to leave. He's a cool dude just happen to have a nice cold one in his hand as well.

 

Yeah, i too noticed he ws enjoying a frosty adult beverage while admiring Detroit's finest. I must say, i saw both some very attractive booth models, and some of the skankiest women in Detroit, not to say that given the chance, i wouldn't lay it down right....hehe, i just wouldn't brag about it.

 

It turned out to be a great weekend. I ended up with 2nd place in my class at the show. I saw Foose standing up front by the car he built and there was a few hundred people around him. I saw him talking to everyone and signing autographs and taking pics. I went up there and asked him if he could come sign my car since i have his wheels and he said he would be right over. I couldnt believe it so i went back to my car and waited. I was there for like a half hour and started to think he blew me off. All of a sudden my girlfriend starts freakin out and I see Foose walkin towards us. He was so nice and took like 3 or 4 pics with the car and me. He signed my dash and a shirt for me. I will post some pics whn i get them.

 

Congratulations allen, i saw the car, it looks a helluva lot different from the last time i saw it, where did foose sign it, the car is black, and i know he only had a black marker on him, did he sign some of the flames?

 

Thanks about the car, I been working on it for a while. I had a silver paint marker and he signed it on the dash on the passenger side air bag.
