The only 1/4 mile stuff is test.

I've never been there. Is the shut down too short or something?

Yes shut down is short. It scares me running 130mph there and you see 160's run there.

The only time I ran there, my car was completely stock. It's such a nasty drive from Saginaw to Ubly.

It's a nice hooking little town track right next door to the village elementary school.

The run off does feel a little snug at times but it's level enough that I always felt comfortable. That being said, I can't imagine how close those weeds look coming down from 160.

Last time I was at Ubly was July, 1985. The control tower was two garden sheds stacked on top of one another. The bathrooms were outhouses next door to some chained up dobermans. The stands were made from treated lumber and sat only 50 feet from the track surface, separated by a four foot chain link fence.

Has it changed much since then???

You're describing Lapeers current conditions

Ubly has been a great track. The outhouses haven't changed much but the stands and tower has. Way better than Lapeer any day and hooks better than Milan with far less traffic.

that description of ubly is right on...use to be able to stand RIGHT BEHIND the cars as they launched not to many years ago. The outhouse is still there..it`s a corragated tube cut in half to make a "trouph" don`t know if that is spelled right, Can`t remember what you do when you gotta s**t. I can usaually make the first turn around in the shut down area, but my car only run`s 11.30 @ 118

I've never had any luck at that track, wouldn't hurt my feelings if they just blew the damn place up.
