FBI: 11 Local Men Named In DaimlerChrysler Parts Scam
Defendants Charged On Several Counts

A Federal Bureau of Investigations sting names 11 local men accused of stealing and selling DaimlerChrysler auto parts.
The following is the list of names announced in the FBI investigation:
David McElroy, 31 -- A former employee of Logistics Insight Corp., City Auto Customizing and a co-owner of D&K Auto Customizing in Detroit.
Robert Gray, 37 -- A former supervisor of Logistics Insights Corp.
David Banks, 30 -- A former dockman at Logistics Insights Corp.
Corey Andrews, 28 -- A former switcher at Logistics Insights Corp.
Kenneth Hill, 37 -- An employee of City Auto Customizing and co-owner of D&K Auto Customizing.
Simon Haidi, 30 -- An employee of Bull Auto Parts, a salvage yard in Detroit.
Fadi Ali Chehade, 26 -- An employee of Bull Auto Parts.
John Middleton, 27 -- An employee of Middleton Auto Parts in Fraser.
Douglas David, 45 -- Co-owner of Macomb Auto Salvage in Warren.
Mark Leuffgen, 41 -- Co-owner of Macomb Auto Salvage.
Anthony Auk, 40 -- Owner of A&T Auto Supply in St. Clair Shores.
The men face federal charges of conspiring to rob the shipments headed to plants in the United States and Canada, the U.S. Department of Justice reported Friday. The stolen parts reportedly include high-end radios and starters.
Along with conspiring to sell, buy and possess stolen goods, four men -- McElroy, Gray, Banks and Andrews -- are charged with aiding and abetting the conspirators, Local 4 reported. They face 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
The remaining men face a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
The case was investigated by the FBI.
