Don't blame tree-hugging hippies. Blame the Republicans who let corporations polute as much as they want, and then attack the little guy when pollution becomes an "issue".

"New vehicle owners also might be able to satisfy testing requirements by simply showing that their so-called emissions warning light is not active on their dashboard. "

wonder what they consider "new". I can see custom tunes becoming more and more popular as the testing day comes closer.

my 95 and dads 02 trans am wont have any emissions light on.

I wonder if the old rule of cars that are 10 years or older are exempt. My 1993 383 stoker blazer will be hard pressed to pass emissions.

That's bull****, I knew Granholm would be a little b**** about smog testing and emissions. That just what the MOTORCITY needs.

Its not the Republicans its "F"ing Granholm and the Democrats... Take note that Engler did away with the testing in the first place!... Its funny to me how the blue collar working class people are always supporting the Democrats... Do you think this type of law effects the guy driving his 04 Caddy or the UAW worker with the 5+ year old Chevy or Ford. People need to wake up.

I reealllllllly do not see this hapening. We have the woodward cruise here, that would die, no way in hell will they pass this ****. Also if you read:
The methods may include cleaner-burning gasoline, vapor locks to keep gas fumes from wafting out of filling station pumps, older vehicle trade-in incentives and measures to reduce pollution from old two-cycle marine engines.
Cleaner burning gasoline = more refined like CA's gas, guess what, our price will go up too! F* THAT!

I am so sick of Granholm, she needs to go away, I cant wait for re-elections.

Also, don't be shocked to see vehicle inspections thrown into this bill ie: Cal, NY,NJ these states make it mandatory that you show carb stickers for after market products, 40 point inspections etc, dynoed inspection stations. Just more ways to make money and screw over the hot rodder. This is where SEMA comes in look up there web site and give them your support. They maybe our only hope.

I'm glad im a republican, and im pissed that this democrat bitch is in office trying to **** everyone over. UAW probably has a ton of guys who hot rod their respective brands. Now their union supported this bitch, so their getting ****ed. Being a democrat will come back and bite you in the ***. More government programs, more **** to comply with. This is the ****in motor city and were going to have to test our vehicles, nice way to kill a tradition granholm. Gas guzzling is part of detroit life. Let the people in cali and them other states watch emissions. This is why women shouldnt be in office. Granholm probably had a bad experiance, a diesal w/ a chip probably revved and blew black smoke into her limo so her emotions took over and now shes got to stop that "black smoke" from the tailpipes. **** her and **** the democratic, govermentprogrammaking, welfarehandingou t,asskissingterrorists party.
