Yes it does matter. That was just one of the terms of the auction. They are there for a reason. Should he get what he paid for? yup He should get what he paid for BUT just remember, he didn't play by the rules either.
Ranting, raving and name calling will not get him his TACH any quicker. Ya never know, he may get his Canadian money order back.

 

Really, it happened to you? Your Canadian and you sent a Canadian money order to the United States for an item that you won in an auction that specifically stated it was "Available to: United States Only". Because that is exactly what happened here!

 

So tell you piece of crap buddy to send him his money back.... If you think that keeping this guys money order for that long is right, then your a piece of crap also!!!!

thats such a technicality (sp?) eric would have seen that right off the bat and if he was an honest person and not a thief, he would say something like "I cant ship this to you due to the fact I wont ship to canada" and "I'll return your money order" and this was like forever ago so I highly doubt he's still plannin on returning the moneyorder.

 

I take it that you are NOT someone that crosses the boarder all the time..I'm in and out of the US at least 1-2 times a month min for either picking up parts or going racing. To most people the boarder isn't really there (in terms of buying and selling parts...hell I've purchased everything from braided line fittings to back half kits and rollcage from the US. I can't believe taht you know this fawking ******* and you're on here stiring the pot in his favor. I know that if I had a friend like Eric I'd personally beat the **** out of him till he got some sense in him and smartened the fawk up and either sent the product or the money back. Think about this for a second...how would you like it if I stole from you and my friend came on here acting the way that you are??? wouldn't that really **** you off?? Eric committed countless different accounts, with this the police/FBI will be really interested in him now since it doesn't seem like a one time thing for him. Do you know how much stuff that I've purchased from the US???Most people don't mind shipping to Canada and in this case Eric never contacted me..And it's just not me in this case, I just got another email today from yet another guy that was ripped off by Eric (this guy for $250 US), that's making it close to $1000 US that he's stolen from people in the last few months. I know that I'm planning to come down to Redford in a few weeks and coming looking for Eric and I won't be wanting just my money back at this point.

 

Eric got his money for the item and extra for shipping, with a money order that could be cashed at any USPS outlet or at any American Bank without 1 single issue, which is no different from a USPS money order. The money order was also sent in US funds, so it's no different, the paperwork to ship from the US to Canada takes about 30 extra seconds to fill out (mainly declaring what the item is and a signature) and then drop it in the mail.
Whay are you standing up for him? From all the looking that I've done on Eric this is not the first time that he's pulled something like this and unless he either smartens up or get caught by the police, I'm sure that he'll rip someone else off again in a heart beat.

I agree Eric shouldn't have cashed the money order (if he did) but I do think the blame is partly on you for not complying with the seller's rules of the auction. Does that mean you should be ripped off? No. But realistically you shouldn't have even bid on the auction in the first place. Had you followed the rules you wouldn't be in this position.

 

I don't see why this is suddenly becoming an issue?? I've never had any seller on ebay question when I submit a CDN address (FYI I also have a US address that I use in New York for larger items that are too expensive to ship directly to me). There is NO blame on me for bidding on something on ebay and then sending a Money Order (In US funds) for the correct amount. There is no Force Field at the Canada US boarder, it takes all of 5 mins to cross it (anda 45 min drive from my place to get there), so yes to me it's not all that big of a deal. Adding to the Fact that I used to live in the US.
You've also got to take into fact that Eric has ripped off at least 4 other people the same way (them all being US citizens), so the US only shipping and me wanting it shipped to Canada doesn't mean a thing. Just harder for me to nail him for what he did (Have to deal with The RCMP and the FBI along with the US Postal Service).

Again all I want is my money back or my tach. The only reason that I'm on here digging for info on Eric is because refuses to communicate any other way (Never returns Phone calls or emails). This has been dragging on since mid March. Sadly enough I had to post all the personal info I could on him and call him out in a public forum because he chose to act like a little kid and try and hide and hope this would go away so this could not have been delt with in a private manner (which would have been much quicker cleaner and I wouldn't have pissed others off with my digging and hounding and this thread would have never existed. So in the end the only person that is responsible for this thread is Eric Kanack and he's the only one that can end this and I hope that he realizes this and makes things right.
