Does anybody in the area know how to install a boost gauge. I have the faze style gauges. It's currently hooked up but not to the boost just to vac. I was wondering where to connect the wires to what to see the boost. Any help would be great. - Mike

if it reads vac, it will read boost when you have boost............

 

The vac side is working but the boost does not work at all. Last year when I had the gauges installed the guy said he hooked up the gauge for the vac. This year I had a turbo put on. Should the gauge be reading the boost when it comes on then? Dont I have to connect a wire or something to the turbo??

yes, it should, are you sure you are making boost?

 

is the gauge mechanical or elec.? if its mechanical, it should be reading both vac. at idle/low rpm, and boost when you get into it. if its elec. and there's a sender, the sender or gauge itself could be bad or not hooked up properly.

 

Why go through the hassle to put it in the intake piping? I had mine Tee'd into a factory vaccum hose coming right off the intake manifold. Very simple to do really.
