I purchased a dishwasher for my wife for mothers day. I don't know if anyone from the board know how to install one and wants to make some bucks. I would rather give the money to someone who is on the board than someone I don't know. Call me and let me know what you want to do it and when. 586 558/6694

You bought your wife an appliance as a present?! Are you crazy man?! LOL!

I don't know much about dishwashers, but I remember when I was a kid, my dad and my cousin were installing a dishwasher in my cousin's house. I remember them finishing the wiring then all the lights going out, then a big fire, then a bunch of water on the floor, then I passed out. Hell of a night. Found a pic the other day of me pounding down a Coors Light while I was leaning on my three wheeler. I was probably about 5.

What this has to do with anything I don't know, but it made me laugh.

I forgot what I was gonna type.

Oh yea, Happy birthday! Congrats on getting the blender!

Chris,

It's a complete no-brainer. The hardest/expensive part is moving around/modifying the cabinetry to take it.

Your best option would be to find a friend's house with one, pull it, and look at what's going on. Couple of wire nuts, couple of clamps, couple of hoses, maybe wiring in a plug, game over.

The wiring is as complicated as wiring in a MAF translator, the plumbing is as complicated as changing a thermostat.

My problem is I am disabled and can't bend, push, pull ect. I can't get under the counter as I would not be able to get up. "I fell down and I can't get up"hahaha Before I got sick I would have just done it myself. Now I am not able too. I have a guy from the MM board who said he would more than likely do it. If not I will post again.

Let me know if the other guy falls through. I could probably swing by there and throw it in quick. I'm a builder and am re-modling and kitchen at Hoover and Masonic rate now. Probably not to far from you. Do you have a dishwasher rate now or do the cabinets need to be altered to get it in?

There is not a diswasher there right now. The dishwasher will fit with very little cutting. The dishwasher is a smaller one and will fit were the draws are at. It is the plumbing and wiring that I am more concerned with as I can't bend and get around under the cabnit. If I don't hear back from the other person by tomorrow I will let you know. It sucks being sick and not able to do things myself.
Joe that is what she said she wanted. My wife works very hard taking care of us and if that is what she wants that is what she gets. It was her choice. She has a portable dishwasher that goes on the counter top but she wanted a built in.
If anyone wants a portable dishwasher they can have it for $100.00. It is 2 years old and works great. I think I paid about $230.00 for it.
