Custom Prom Burning FRUSTRATING!!!!
Ok, I have collected my data using WINALDL and sent it to this guy Brian who burns custom proms. I already have one of his stage I chips but now I am in need for a custom one. Anyways, its been almost a month now of chip after chip after chip of failed proms. I can't figure it out why they aren't working. His older chip is working fine, but these ones are giving me Prom Errors (Code 51). He thought I was installing it wrong, but I can't be, because the other one goes in fine without any problems and no prom errors. And now I lost that freakin black peice that holds the chip in there. Does anyone have one of those available?
Grrr, this is just pissin me off. I just want my car to run right finally.

i've never seen one of those before. mine is a basic little chip.
have to agree that custom chips are a waste of time. i'm going on my third from tpis for their stage 6. if they don't get it right this time i'm going to save up for dfi.

You may want to go to www.moates.net and see if they have a ZIF adapter for your application. It looks like you have a 2732 style chip.
If you are getting PROM errors then the chip is definitely WRONG. It did not burn correctly period. I have had that 1 time and just reburned it.
