Couple of questions

Hey guys, I am looking for local pricing on a few things here:

1. How much do you think for a cylinder head shop to cut and install new valves in some LT1 heads. No porting needed. Just cost of the valves and to put them in. Im gonna guess $400-500???

2. How much do you think to have some shorty headers ceramic coated? around $100???

You should call Rick at Livernois or Joe at Stenod Performance.

local machine shop up in saginaw was $600ish when I asked on standard 350 heads to recondition and going form 1.94/1.55? to 2.02/1.60? (don't remember the exhaust vavle size off the top of my head)

don't know on shorty's (would think higher)

are lt1 heads even worth that much? might try one of the engine replacement shops, might be cheaper to get newer reconditioned heads.

as for the coating... possibly slightly more for ceramic coating. depends on where you go.
