Bill, call Scott and get a Strange rear from him and he'll take real good care of you.

Is DTS, Drivetrain Soulutions on the westside? So you have anyone I should talk to there? Do they make a decent sticky tire that comes in a 17". I have the Nitto Drags right now. I am just not sure they will hold for alow 1.6 60'?
How much can I get one of the starnge rears like you put into Rodds? Do they come with a warranty and how much power are they good for?
Bill
First off DTS is Drive Train Specialists. Drivetrain Solutions is a different shop, it's a one man show right now and from all accounts he's great to deal with.
I would recommend a Strange 12 with posi (I like the Eaton HD myself and it's rebuildable) and heavyduty axles, Strange warrants them against defects for a year I think.
If you really want to launch hard then you need to get off of those 17s for the track. 16s with ET streets would be a lot better. But if you're dead set on not changing the tires then get some 17 inch ET Street Radials. They're a street legal drag radial that acts like a slick and will wear out like one too.
