im leaking coolant. i think i figured out where its leaking from.
its on the outside of the radiator.
so it look slike i need a new one. unless this is fixible.

or someone can give me a second opinion as tow here its leaking from.

IF it needs to be replaced. does anyone have a v6 3.4L radiator laying around?

 

Is it the tank to core seal thats leaking?? If you know its the rad for sure you could take it out and have a rad shop look at it. They will give you an estimate and then you can decide to fix or replace.

 

oh damn, I forgot all about this john. sorry. if I were you I'd just look for an LT1 or LS1 rad. to put in there. you should be able to find one of those really easily. your hoses are universal fit, so they should go right onto a diff. radiator as long as the reach is close.

 

thats true chris i should look for a bigger radiator. but the thing is the lt1 has like 2 extra holes that i dont need. i just need the simple in and out and the trans hookup.
ill pull it this week sometime and take it in. its the tank area on the radiator. maybe a corvette radiator will fit in there?

 

a 3rd gen rad. would fit Im almost positive. if you want to go with me out to dundee I can let you borrow mine to test the fit. hell, even borrow it for a while till you find your own. a c4 vette rad. would prolly fit right in, and I think I can get a new one for under $200 if I remember right and they havent changed the price.

 

that sounds good to me chris. as long as its the radiator. i want to try to make opening day still and i cant break in an engine without a cooling system.

Hey Jon, how is it running? You can start to tune it up now that the temperature is above 20 degrees. Let me know when you go to the track.

Ive tuned it when it was 50 degrees a bit. but i had to retune it when it dropped back down to 20. i love michigan.
