Cheaters winning all the high $ bracket races?

I've been told the winner of the NO BOX $5000 Stanton race on Saturday ran right on with a zero 3 times during the day. Could he be that good or lucky? Or maybe he has a variation of the Matty box hidden in his car.

What's a Matty box? Right on with a zero 3 times is really hard to believe.

Some racers making $150,000 in a season

A racer from Ohio named Matty hid electronics on his car so he could run right on whenever he wanted to in a no box class. He eventually was banned from all the midwest tracks. Other racers from near where he lived started doing real well and were accused of using his technology. They were banned also. Some started showing up down south so all tracks were warned. Basically, its a hidden data recorder so the driver knows his et during a run. Could be a wheel sensor or a magnetic pickup on a drive shaft with a sensor so you know how fast you are going and how far away the finish line is. The racer needs to know this information during the race and one was caught using his tach as feedback from the cheaters box now dubbed the Matty box. That goes back to the original racer that used it.

Yes, I had a black box under my hood. But it was an LS1 Timing Tuner, which was legal, and was used to adjust timing, and nitrous delay, etc. Hot Rod Hawk was right on with the 12.00 tune. I had some guys running in the 9.50 class shaking in their boots. A couple of times they lost because I ran a 12.01 and they broke out getting past me. I was number 1 qualifyer in back to back races at Martin and Grand Bend Ont. Ahh the good old days, I could go on forever about them. Hell, I was offered money by the points leader to lose at Grand Bend and turned it down. Ended up coming in second on a .463 red light in the finals on a .500 pro tree against that red Mustang with a trans brake. It was Steves (the guy that worked at Kinsler FI) brother. I know what electronics can do, and it can make a bracket car dead on.

was the winners car built? stock low power auto's have the most reliable times out there, they're not fast but they're consistant, isn't that what brackets are all about?

But exactly to the 4th decimal place 3 times in one day. I don't think so.

Cutting a good light (reaction time) is one thing, but running your dial in (predicted time) right on is something else. The winner had a built 62 or 63 Chevy II Nova.
